At the close of another defining year for climate action, I am proud to introduce the Climate Essentials 2025 Impact Report. This has been a year of both momentum and challenge; one in which our mission to make credible, practical decarbonisation accessible to all organisations has never felt more urgent, or relevant. Despite an increasingly complex political and economic backdrop, our community has continued to move forward with clarity, determination and impact.
At Climate Essentials, our vision is clear: to empower organisations of all sizes to understand, manage and reduce their emissions in a way that is credible, proportionate and embedded into decision-making. In 2025, that vision has guided every enhancement we’ve made to our platform and every partnership we’ve formed. Our mission remains rooted in turning carbon data into meaningful action; not simply as a compliance exercise, but as a driver of resilience, transparency and long-term value.
This year saw significant progress in our product suite, particularly in support of supply chain decarbonisation. As Scope 3 emissions continue to represent the largest and most complex share of organisational footprints, we have focused on equipping our clients with practical tools to engage suppliers, improve data quality and prioritise reduction efforts across their value chains. Enhancements to our supply chain functionality, analytics and reporting capabilities reflect our belief that collaboration is essential to achieving net zero at scale.
However, progress has not come without headwinds. Across the globe, we have seen growing political resistance to climate ambition, shifting narratives and attempts to dilute or delay action.
These challenges reinforce why organisations, technology providers and communities must continue to rally around evidence-based action, defend the integrity of climate data, and maintain momentum even when the path forward feels uncertain. Climate action is not a trend; it is a necessity, and one that demands resolve.
We are equally grateful to our partners and network for their continued commitment to our shared mission. The challenges that face us on the road to Net Zero are complex and numerous. It is our belief that success will only be achieved through leveraging our collective skills and networks making partnerships essential to success.
Finally, I want to thank the Climate Essentials team. Their expertise, integrity and shared sense of purpose are the foundation of everything we do. In a year that demanded both agility and conviction, they have continued to deliver with care, ambition and an unwavering belief in the role we can play in accelerating the transition to a low-carbon economy.
As you read this report, I hope it provides not only a reflection of what we have achieved together in 2025, but also a reminder of what is possible when data, collaboration and intent align. We look forward to continuing this journey with you and to building a future where credible climate action remains firmly on the agenda.
