The UK Government has released the updated spend-based carbon factors for 2022, as part of their annual carbon footprint statistics. You can check out the full release here: UK and England's carbon footprint to 2022.

These factors are used for measuring the carbon emissions associated with your business expenditures, covering everything from office supplies to materials. The 2022 update reflects the latest data on emissions linked to UK consumption, including goods and services produced both domestically and abroad.

What does this mean for your business?

If your business uses spend-based carbon factors for reporting from 2022 and onwards, you might notice slight adjustments in your carbon footprint figures. These changes are expected and are part of the routine updates to ensure accuracy in carbon accounting.

We'll be integrating these new factors into our carbon accounting platform by 22nd May. Once updated, your dashboard will automatically reflect the latest data.
